Installation Guide
On the Rolling Stock website go to Download.
Download the Demo.
Make a note of where you save the installation file.
PLEASE NOTE: If you have installed the Demo Program with Demo Data you will first need to Uninstall the Demo before doing a Upgrade or New Installation.
Upgrading your program, Install New Program, Install Demo Program.
Upgrading your Rolling Stock Program.
Install the demo and select the Option “Upgrade from Ver 2.x or 3.x”.
a New Rolling Stock icon will be created on your desktop,
Start your program.
Follow the screen prompt to select where your old data is located.
The program will convert your old data.
All your old data will now be in the new version.
Go to Options -> Global settings to make sure your program is setup the way you want it.
Go to Options -> Register to create the registration e-mail.
Onetime Data Conversion to new Rolling Stock Structures (This will only be done the first time you start Rolling Stock)
Select the version you are converting from (make sure you select the correct version). You can find your version under the About on your old program.
Select to let Rolling Stock search for your old rolling Stock data files (This can take very long since it will search all folders and files on your hard drive)
If you know where your old Rolling Stock data files are located select the correct folder yourself.
If you have done the correct selection of the folder you can then Start the Conversion.
Let Rolling Stock Search for your Old Rolling Stock Data Files for the Conversion
The time it takes to locate the old Rolling Stock data files will be dependent on your computer speed and amount of folders and files on your hard drive.
It might take a very long time to finish searching.
If multiple folders are found that contains old Rolling Stock data files you must select the correct folder from the list it shows.
After selecting the correct folder you can click the "Use the Selected Folder for the conversion" button.
Select the old Rolling Stock Data Folder yourself.
Installing a New Program that you have purchased.
Install the demo and select the Option “New Install/Demo (Not Upgrading)”, DO NOT select "Install Demo Data Files"

Start your program.
Go to Options -> Global settings to make sure your program is setup the way you want it.
Go to Options -> Register to create the registration e-mail.
Install the demo and select the Option “New Install/Demo (Not Upgrading)” and also select "Install Demo Data Files".

Start your program.
Some demo data are installed and will be ready for you test and play with.
The demo program is a full working 60 day demo version of the registered program.
