Dates

Dates can be entered in several ways. The simplest is to just key in the date, i.e. 121098 is December 10, 1998. This could be entered as 12/10/98, 12/10/1998 or 12101998. The program is smart about dates and will treat any date with a two digit year as falling between the current date and 80 years ago and 20 years in the future. Yes, the program is year 2000 compliant. Another way is to use the calendar look up button to the right of the date field. Clicking on this will bring up a calendar with the current day highlighted. Just click on another date in the current month to select it or use the arrows near the bottom to move back and forward one month or one year at a time. Click OK when you have selected the desired date, or cancel to forget the whole thing. Clicking Today will reselect the current date. A third way to enter a date is to use the keyboard. Pressing the + or - keys will increment or decrement the date by one day. Pressing M will select first of the month, pressing it again will select the first of the previous month. Pressing H will do the same for the end of the month. Y and R do the same for the year.
